6 Steps to success
Research
Gathering Information
Market research is critical to help determine whether any new business will be successful. Find out the level of demand for pools in your area, what competition you would have, market size, cost of materials and labor, permits, insurance, funding, etc. Each state has different requirements for becoming a pool builder. Research those requirements for your state and find out what you need to do to meet those requirements.

Visit Desjoyaux
Come for a visit
Throughout the year, we offer a Discovery Day here at our main office that allows prospective dealers to see our operation, put your hands on our kits and products, as well as meet with our team to discuss in greater depth what it means to be a Desjoyaux dealer. We ask that any prospective dealer spends a day with us to get to know us and our products better so that you will know what is expected as a Desjoyaux dealer.

Desjoyaux Visits You
We spend the day with you
If you decide that what you have learned during your Discovery Day visit is that Desjoyaux Pools is for you, we would like to schedule a day to see you and your facilities. One of our representatives will contact you to set up a day to come to your facility so you can show us your operation and vision of what your Desjoyaux Pools dealership will look like.

Contracts
Contract and Territory
After all the discovery and research, the big day has come. Once you sign on the dotted line, you will be part of the Desjoyaux family. During this process, we will mutually define a territory that is exclusive to you. We will never open a new dealer inside your territory or knowingly allow another dealer to operate inside your territory. In signing your contract, you agree to exclusively sell Desjoyaux Pools and represent the brand in the highest regard.

Training
We never stop learning
Now that you are a dealer, you will need to come to our offices for a week for phase one of our dealer training program. We would like you to bring key members of your build team for this training. Your site foreman and leads will need this training to effectively manage your crew during the build. Training covers topics like product knowledge, sales, installation, troubleshooting and dealership management. Phase Two of our training program involves someone from our training team visiting your build sites to supervise your first two pool builds, including the membrane installation. Our service team will always be available via phone to answer any question and help you deal with any issue, but we come to you for these first two critical builds during your learning process.

Commercial Location and Show Pool
The key to sucess
As an exclusive dealer of Desjoyaux Pools, you will want a base of operations as well as a location to show the public all the advantages of building a Desjoyaux Pool on their property. You will need to have a commercial location as a showroom for your new pool company. This commercial location (not at your home) must have an external sign measuring at least 3 feet by 5 feet and a demonstration pool. The showroom does not necessarily need to be a retail location selling pool supplies, but can be if that fits your business model. The demo pool can be of any size and configuration you desire, but we do ask that it be large enough to show the function of the unique Desjoyaux filtration system.
